8mb Broadband and phone

after exhaustive tests on my 8Mbps cct to the exchange that I can see through my window with speeds of 354Kbps to 3225Kbps Tiscali's solution was to offer downgrade to 2Mbps. Look out O2 here I come!

I've been a customer for over 3 years and found reliability to be good but when something does go wrong, you end up spending a fortune on their local rate number and get passed around so different "customer service" reps can give you different excuses.

Max Speed 5mbs,BUT From 0800hrs till 2300hrs the speed is capped to LESS than 500kbs!

Upgraded to 8Mb and getting 0.4Mb. Several hours on phone to customer services without progress and having to pay for that as well. Garbage reaaly.

Have to agree with most comments here. Previous isp's were giving me about 3Mb. Now down to less than dial up. Customer support useless - reading from a script. Regret changing-wouldn't go near them again even if it was free.

I have been with Tiscali more than a year. After moving my home I was waiting 2 months to get the Broadband transferred over to new address, which didn't happened. Phoned them every week, asked for refund for 2,5 months.
Still no broadband nor refund...

I have had so many slow downs with Tiscali that I have lost count. I keep getting told to try this or try that all to no avail. I am supposed to be on 2Mb. I used to get almost 2 until Sept 2007 now I am lucky if I get .8Mb. Complaining has done no good....

3Mbs d/l and 0.3 u/l which means it fails the advertising standards test since it is supposed to be 8Mbs. I get free telephone calls though so I am not too upset.

I upgraded from theier standard 1Mb package to the 8Mb telephone inc line rental. The service is even worse as before I could reach 1.8mb but now the average speed over today was 35.6kbps - slower than dial up!

Have just upgraded to 8Mb from 1Mb and I can now reach speeds of up to 1.4Mb on a good day. Can't say I am impressed with this speed even though it nearly doubled my previous speed before upgrading.

Have just upgraded to 2Mb actual D/L speed .95Mb U/L speed .21Mb. Not very impressed.

I have 2Mb actual D/L speed 1.91Mb U/L speed 0.23Mb very good for my needs also have telephone calls via Tiscali at a very competivel price.
